Belvedere Single Estate Rye: Smogory Forest
Rye 40% ABV ABV Polmos Zyrardow / LVMHBeautifully balanced
One of the most well-crafted vodkas I've tasted. The black pepper promises quality, and the palate delivers with Rich and full-bodied. Nothing feels harsh or out of place. The pepper ties it all together. I tried it neat, chilled, and in a Moscow Mule — it shines in all three. The rye base gives it a distinctive character. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Decent everyday vodka
A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has Complex and layered — salted caramel — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you rye spice, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The a savoury mineral edge is clean.
Simply brilliant
I keep coming back to this bottle and appreciating the subtlety. The toasted bread on the nose is genuinely there if you take a moment to notice. On the palate, Beautifully crafted single-estate expression is rich and satisfying, with dark honey with a velvety texture developing. A vodka that rewards attention. At 40% ABV, the proof is perfectly judged.
Expected more
Not terrible but not worth the premium. The nose promised Complex and layered — salted caramel and black pepper, but the palate is flat and the Long and warming with lingering caramel disappears too quickly. I've had better vodkas at half the price. The Beautifully crafted single-estate expression the review describes wasn't apparent to me. Perhaps I got a bad bottle.
