Nose
Sweet and fruity with energy drink-like qualities — tropical fruit, a hint of guarana, and a synthetic effervescence.
Palate
Sweet and fizzy with a vodka backbone that barely registers at 10% ABV. Caffeine and guarana provide a mild buzz alongside the tropical fruit flavour.
Finish
Very short with a sweet, slightly medicinal aftertaste.
Expert Review
6/10Flugel is less a vodka and more a pre-mixed party accessory. This tiny 2cl bottle contains vodka blended with caffeine and guarana for a sweet, energising shot. At £1.50 and 10% ABV, it is what it is — fun, forgettable, and occasionally exactly what the situation requires.

View All (3)Picked this up after reading the review here and it's everything they said and more. The guarana drew me in from the first pour. On the palate, the flavours are elegant rather than aggressive — exactly what you want from a quality vodka. The slightly medicinal aftertaste is clean and inviting. Makes a brilliant Martini and equally good sipped neat. This will be a permanent fixture on my shelf.
13 July 2026What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you a synthetic effervescence and guarana, and on the palate it's all about the texture and smoothness. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with slightly medicinal aftertaste. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. The review here nails it.
6 July 2026Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the guarana — that part is nice. But the palate didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the Very short with a sweet is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.
