Nose
Intensely aromatic with tropical citrus, grapefruit, and passion fruit from the Citra hops. Unmistakably beer-adjacent, but in the most appealing way.
Palate
Unique and fascinating — the five-times-distilled wheat base is clean and smooth, while the Citra hops contribute vivid tropical fruit, resinous citrus, and a gentle bitterness. Unlike anything else in the vodka category.
Finish
Long and aromatic with lingering hop character, citrus oils, and a dry, slightly bitter close.
Expert Review
8/10Mikkeller's Citra Dry Hopped Vodka is one of the most genuinely innovative spirits on the market. The legendary Danish gypsy brewers have brought their hop expertise to vodka, dry-hopping a quintuple-distilled wheat spirit with Citra hops. The result is extraordinary — tropical, aromatic, and utterly unique.

View All (2)Bought this on the strength of the review here and I'm so glad I did. The but in the most appealing way on the nose are subtle but present, and the palate delivers — while the Citra hops contribute vivid tropical fruit with wonderful texture. The finish has citrus oils that proves vodka is far from flavourless. Hats off to Mikkeller Spirits — this is exceptional craft. Already on my second bottle.
1 July 2026Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the grapefruit — that part is nice. But the resinous citrus didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the Long and aromatic with lingering hop character is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.
