Zubrowka is one of Poland's most famous vodka brands, primarily known for its distinctive bison grass flavoured expression. Biala — meaning "white" — is the unflavoured version, and it deserves attention on its own considerable merits. Made from Polish winter rye, this is a straightforward vodka that lets the quality of its grain do the talking.
The nose offers clean rye bread and gentle spice, with a hint of cream that signals the classic creaminess this style is known for. On the palate, the rye character is clear and well-defined — there is genuine spice and a gentle sweetness, with a smooth, full mouthfeel that belies the relatively modest 37.5% ABV.
This is not a vodka that will challenge or surprise — it is far too honest for that. What it does offer is authentic Polish rye character, genuine creaminess, and excellent drinkability at a price that makes it one of the outstanding values on the market. Under twenty pounds for a vodka of this quality is remarkable.
Serve it well chilled, in the traditional Polish manner, alongside smoked meats and pickles. Or use it as an everyday Martini base where its rye spice adds welcome character. Either way, this overdelivers for the money.

What a beautifully crafted spirit. The nose gives you The unflavoured character lets the grain speak for itself and Clean rye bread with a gentle spiciness and a hint of cream, and on the palate it's all about Smooth and creamy. The mouthfeel is particularly impressive — silky, full, and rewarding. The finish rounds everything off with Medium length. Anyone who says all vodka tastes the same hasn't tried this. Bought this on the strength of the review here and I'm so glad I did. The The unflavoured character lets the grain speak for itself on the nose are subtle but present, and the palate delivers — Well-balanced and easy-drinking with wonderful texture. The finish has Medium length that proves vodka is far from flavourless. Hats off to Polmos Bialystok — this is exceptional craft. Already on my second bottle.

Better than expected

Mixed feelings. On the nose I got the Clean rye bread with a gentle spiciness and a hint of cream — that part is nice. But the with a pleasantly full mouthfeel for the strength didn't match the promise for me. Mid-palate feels a bit thin. Still, it's better than many bottles at this price and the Medium length is reasonable. Worth trying at least once, especially in a Martini.
