Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich buttery caramel with a distinct salty edge. There is a pleasant warmth reminiscent of salted caramel confectionery.

Palate

Sweet caramel balanced by a savoury salt note that prevents cloying sweetness. Stoli's clean base spirit provides decent backbone, and the overall effect is surprisingly well-balanced.

Finish

Medium with lingering caramel and a pleasant saline note.

Expert Review

7/10

Stoli's Salted Caramel arrived in 2013 riding the salt-and-caramel trend, and it holds up well. The balance between sweet caramel and savoury salt is deftly handled, creating a flavoured vodka that avoids the usual syrupy pitfalls. A Salted Caramel Espresso Martini with this is something special.

Noah Williams VIPsAllowed — Stoli Salted Caramel Vodka — Sweet, Salty, and Dangerously Moreish is outstanding
8/10

The nose on this is lovely — I immediately got Rich buttery caramel with a distinct salty edge and subtle complexity. On the palate, the Stoli's clean base spirit provides decent backbone is beautifully done, and the Medium with lingering caramel and a pleasant saline note. I agree with the editorial review — this is a seriously impressive vodka. Tried it neat at room temperature first, then chilled from the freezer. Both excellent, but neat at room temp shows off the character better.
