Expert Review

8/10

Chopin Rye — affectionately known as 'Chopin Red' for its distinctive cap — is a masterclass in rye vodka production. Bold, spicy, and uncompromising, it delivers the kind of flavour and character that makes you wonder why anyone drinks neutral vodka. A superb spirit.

Elena Morozova VIPsAllowed — My new favourite vodka
8/10

Third bottle in and it just gets better. The nose opens with dried herbs — I also picked up cracked black pepper that the review mentions. On the palate, toasted bread is spot on, and there's a with robust rye spice that makes this incredibly smooth. The finish closes with a satisfying warmth. This has become my go-to. Makes an incredible Martini too.

Haruki Sato VIPsAllowed — Decent everyday vodka

A reliable pour that won't blow your mind but does the job. The nose has with distinctive rye bread — the review is accurate there. The palate gives you a peppery warmth, which is fine but a bit safe. I keep reaching for other bottles when I want to sip neat, but for cocktails it's hard to complain. The finish is clean.

Finn OBrien VIPsAllowed — Disappointing for the price
4/10

Bit disappointed. The nose is fine — I got some Bold and spicy — but on the palate it's too one-dimensional. At £39.75, I expect more character. The finish drops off quickly. The tasting notes in the review didn't match my experience. Might work better in cocktails than neat.
